The resort was impeccable! We chose the suite with a mountain view. The room was clean and so comfortable. The bed offered us such a good night of sleep. The location is great. It is so good to disconnect and be amongst nature. (Although I must say that the wifi connectivity is super strong. Even when we left the room and go to other parts of the resort, we always had a strong wifi connection) I love how it is nestled in the lush mountain. It was a bit unnerving for me initially when I heard the loud sound that the cicadas are making since I am a city girl. Haha. The insects were really huge too! But they never caused any issues for us. Instead it showed the amazing biodiversity and richness. The best experience of it all, was actually with the people. Our son had a fever throughout the stay and we were all so well taken care of from. I want to specially mention Mr Linh, Mr Phuong Patrick, Ms. Nhung, Ms Thuy and Ms. Hue. They are really gems that made such a great positive impact during our stay. Needless to say, I really hope we can visit the resort again sooner than later! My son is already asking us when we can go back again!

The location for the Melia Ba Vi Mountain Retreat is really special, nestled on the side of a mountain in the jungle. Going in the "winter" months was very pleasant, as the nights were pleasantly chilly. I imagine in the humid summer months the mountain would be a real respite. I loved my room - great size (premium king), comfy bed, a desk where I could write and a nice little balcony overlooking the trees. I think, overall, the ambiance of the Melia is what you're paying for - winding stone paths, birdsong, the sense of being removed from the urban environment. I also appreciated the little details - like their eggs coming from their local chickens, and the French colonial ruins dotted around the outside of the property that you could tour. Additionally, whoever is running the bar is doing an excellent job - the cocktails I had were a real highlight! Overall, I would recommend this property, but if you have mobility issues you may need to arrange golf cart transport, as everything is uphill/downhill cobblestone paths with limited flat space.

We had three premium rooms and thoroughly enjoyed our time at this wonderful and atmospheric resort. The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning views and a serene environment that makes it perfect for relaxation. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and offered all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The hike to the top of the mountain was a great way to spend a morning. A highlight of our stay was definitely the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. A special mention goes to Nhung, who was fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. It was very kind of her to take us on the resort tour.

Definitely felt like a retreat, very secluded location and good security. It’s inside government protected forest (Ba Vi national park) so everything here feels very authentic, natural and really makes you feel like you’re in the wild. Great place for forest/mountain type of people. Weather was perfect when we were there. Also the front desk staff was very tentative (she phoned to check on us as we didn’t leave the room for a long time), that’s very nice and showed good caution, good training. Food was ok, i really like the bún cá at breakfast. Room service was punctual. There’s adequate activities to do around.

The location is the star, set on the side of the mountain, within the NationalPark, you really are in a tropical Jungle. The site is contained with walks and you can walk or use bikes to explore, but it is hilly! The breakfast was amazing, the biggest spread I have seen outside of the USA. The Rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and clean. The evening restaurants offer was also good. We were there slightly off season and it was quiet, except for the jungle noise. This was so good when we had an infinity pool view to enjoy by ourselves. We loved and would recommend.
